I create to harmonize my roles of artist and server, to explore my remembering of where we come from. The loops and edges of  this experience are lit up when I play with my lens of the past.

Children are my superheroes- for they activate within me the delights of wonder, patience and awareness. Playfully, I am drawn to the visual exploration of memories through kaleidoscopic imagery in film storytelling and analogue photography.  Songwriting and paper collage are also mediums I work with.

Currently I am teaching art at a bilingual elementary Francophone school in Seattle, Washington. I am driven to nurture our youth, to be guided by compassion while being given the freedom to discover themselves vibrantly. I strive to inspire the integration of our creative expression into our daily lives through observation, collaboration and play.

As a gardener and volunteer I have spearheaded an Ethnobotanical Garden for artistic and cultural purposes with the Hawai'i Island Art Alliance on the Big Island of Hawai'i. I successfully wrote a grant for this project and today it flourishes and continues to bring the community together in collaborative efforts.
